How it started…
Klaus Roofing was established in 2020 as a branch of Carolina Energy Conservation (CEC), which specializes in spray foam insulation for attics and crawl spaces. Matt Thompson went into business with his brother, CEC owner Jeff Thompson, so the company could offer corresponding services to area homeowners and contractors. “It just makes sense to more comprehensively help the homeowner,” said Matt Thompson. “If you’re having a roof leak and we’re in your attic doing insulation, instead of giving that work to another business, we keep it all in-house. There’s no coordinating between two companies and their schedules, no finger-pointing. Just convenient and quality work within one business.”

“The Klaus Roofing way is doing things better and above code,” said Klaus Roofing owner Matt Thompson. “We use a 4-inch seam duct tape, which creates a seal on the roof deck.
